Additional Therapies

At Center for Better Balance we carry a big tool kit, because we know that not every body and lifestyle are the same. We are proud to offer a variety of modalities to keep you functional, strong and pain free.

Cupping Therapy

We use cupping therapy to increase blood flow to the treated muscles. Cups are place on the targeted muscles and a suction device pulls the skin up and into the cup. We often perform cupping with movement therapy, which can help with muscle restrictions and improve range of motion and pain. Cupping can be a nice addition or alternative to dry needling.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Our decompression table provides traction to either the cervical spine (neck) or lumbar spine (low back) to relieve pressure on the nerves and discs. This can provide pain relief, increased circulation and reduced inflammation, and can be used to treat bulging or herniated discs, sciatica and pinched nerves.

Thermostim/E-stim Therapy

We utilize the Dynatronics Thermostim machine to provide a combination of heat therapy and electrical stimulation to help your muscles relax and heal. Heat therapy, or thermotherapy can provide pain relief, improve circulation and release tension in the muscles. Electrical stimulation sends small amounts of regulated electrical impulses to the muscles, causing them to contract and then release, improving circulation and reducing muscle spasms. When combined together the thermostim machine is an effective tool for soft tissue healing, reducing muscular adhesions, lowering inflammation and providing pain relief.

Kinesiology Taping Therapy

We apply Rock tape to injured muscles to provide needed support and improve blood flow. The tape is flexible and still allows movement of the area, but the support from the tape and increased circulation promote faster healing and often decreased pain. The tape can remain on for 3 or 4 days and is an easy and non-invasive way to support your body’s natural healing processes.
